Strangers with Memories

Finally ready to open my brown eyes
Smash that bottle to the ground
Obliterate the memorized harmful lies
Brace for that lost girl to be found

Worn out from living the days on repeat
Waved goodbye to that lasting strain
Overcome with devotion to march to my own beat
Poured every bottle down the drain

Trails were different and held contrast
Emerged with the feeling of being too far removed
Together soon became memories of the past
This was all needed so growth could be improved

Found among the swaying trees
Healing became determined passion
Established solace in a summer breeze
Soared above with words of compassion

Destiny is in firm control
Energy is lighter
Essence feels boldly whole
Forever shining brighter
